Hang Gliding

Adventures of Reno offers hang gliding outings, from a one-time tandem adventure over the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lake Tahoe to a introductory training class of hang gliding where you will obtain level one certification. Our area’s geographical position creates terrific thermals making the Reno/Tahoe area nationally acclaimed for its soaring.

Tandem Ride or 4-hour Lesson

Reno Tandem Hang Gliding Lesson

The day begins with a 20 minute overview of launch and landing procedures. Once airborne, you’ll take control and have the ride of your life. A typical glider ride lasts about 30 minutes followed by a short debriefing and cold beverage. Each passenger will receive a 30 day free membership into the USHPA. All of our tandem pilots are certified, licensed, and insured with over 50 years of combined tandem hang gliding experience. The trip includes ground instruction, safety gear, 20-minute tandem ride, or 4-hour lesson and refreshments.
